Everything there’s to know about studying in Spain for Moroccans

Many factors aid in choosing to study in Spain and the most important one remains the simplicity of the conditions for studying, and the fact that a great number of Spanish universities are part of the 100 list showcasing the best universities in the world.

• Study courses Moroccans can study in Spanish universities:

1. Studying Spanish language;
2. Prepare for the PCE exam Selectividad;

• Conditions to study in Spain for Moroccans:

•  Equivalence of Moroccan certificates to Spanish certificates;
•  Spanish competency diploma. Two possibilities exist for Moroccan students:

1/ Pass the Selectividad exam:

This exam is organized in Morocco twice a year, in the months of June and September, by the international university of education. It’s held in Tangier, Nador, Tetouan, El Jadida, Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca or Rabat.

2/ Pass the DELE exam: (diploma of Spanish as a foreign language)

This exam is shaped like a test that determines the level and mastery of the Spanish language in Morocco. It’s given via Cervantes Institute in the name of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Trainings.

After passing the Selectividad exam or obtaining the DELE diploma; the student can then register in a Spanish university.

• Documents for registering in Spanish universities:

1. Spanish language diploma ;
2. Passport ;
3. Photos ;
4. Baccalaureate equivalent + PCE exam.

• How to get a visa to study in Spain in 2022?

In order to get a student’s visa to Spain, the student must have an acceptance letter for the semester or the program he chose to study from the university, as an acceptance letter is part of the main requirements for getting a student’s visa.

• Documents needed to obtain a student’s visa:

1. Copy of the document containing all information saved from the Spanish Embassy website, with the receipt showing all visa fees have been paid;
2. Passport which validity date is no less than 6 months, and with at least two empty pages;
3. If the student is to pass the baccalaureate exam, he needs to present a high school certificate;
4. Certificate of good behavior ;
5. Medical certificate obtained from one of the medical centers recognized in Spain.

Every university publishes its own procedures on their website with all the deadlines and obligatory documents for getting accepted in the establishment or via an orientation center.
